i got a little bit of that white stuff hes talkin bout on a few pieces of wood i went out and harvested from a local river... i'd rather save the 100$ on the wood and just scoop out the occasional fungus thing... W/e my convicts dont mind theyre still breeding like hippies! heres my wood tho... not a bad find...although nto malaysian its workin for me.!

Your last to pictures didn't turn out too well. All I can see is the flash.

That is a really cool piece of wood. Unfortunately around me we can't find many good pieces. They are all strait sticks... Great find!

im not a photographer at heart im a fishkeeper !!!! im suprised my pics come out as good as they do sometimes... the digi camera sucks that i use, atleast for aquariums. Nikon coolpix, do not buy for aquarium pictures!

Haha! I can one up you! My digi cam was $30 at walmart... GO FUJIFILM! needless to say it isn't so good at the whole photo thing.

and i didnt just Find those pieces of wood in 2 secs, i walked roughly 10 miles, and it took 3 days to get the right pieces .. i found about 10 more that didint make the cut... and it took about 3 hours to saw the wood with the PVC saw i had to use.. sure beat a pocketknife tho! but i'd rather enjoy the woods n save 100$ tho.... that log was literally 50 lbs! bogwood is too much for 50 lbs for my budget as a college kid!

Malaysian wood is really cool IMO, but it is very pricy. The trees in my local area are all straight. I could walk 80 miles and find only straight sticks of wood.

yea the trees are straight but who wants the tree TRUNK itself anyway.. fine a tree that was ripped over by wind and use its root system. pressure wash it and BAM driftwood... the roots will be all different directions and very eerie lookin i imagine...

BTW u kno any good cameras for like 300$ or less? DIGI's

Not too good with the camera, so I haven't spent the big bucks to even try.

I've hiked over 25 miles looking for wood for a tank, and in my area there is nothing in the water. Our trees are really lame here.

RED army is plottin against u and they killed all the good trees for driftwood... then to spite u, they planted millions of perfectly straight trees instead! Jk... but thats a damn shame that you cant find that perfect piece for your tank... whatever someday youll eye a piece when you dont need it! Taxidermists have nice pieces of wood too for tanks!
