RTC Heavy Breating and Wont Eat

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Im sorry I have not been on, as of today the fish as been moved to A pond at my friends house until I can set up the 500gal through that he will be moving into as soon as its all set up. I was lucky enough to happen upon it today at the local farming store for a reasonable price, it is filtering as we speak. I know that he is to small for his tank I believe i stated that before in my first post, When he got him as a baby we had lined up a 250 gallon tank that we were supposed to get 2 weeks after we got him....that fell through unfortunately and tanks of that size and bigger are not totally easily accessible in our area, And about the Pm's and what not I dont know how to change that setting on here. I dont use forums, and people teling me that I am evil and stupid and what not is not what i got on here for. I know he is in a bad situation right now and im doing everything in my power to change that as FAST as possible. I was looking more for advice not just the obvious statements of people talking **** and not really suggesting . I feel bad enough before I got on here and had a bunch of *******s telling me that he needs a bigger tank. I KNOW THAT!!!! But whatever...he is fine and ty to those that actually did say something besides im a dumbass! Just letting you know that everything is fine and hes back to eating!

Nobody called you anything. A lot of members get upset real quick about this subject because it happens so often. There are a lot of threads that start out like this and just as many that are started as a joke. There are a bunch of extremely intelligent members who have a lot of experience in the hobby don't sell them short because of the rest. Like I said if you read the new posts daily you will see the same thing happen over and over. I am glad he is currently relocated, good luck with setting up the new tank. Make sure it is cycled before putting him back in because rtcs don't tolerate pollutants well. Good luck and start looking for another big tank. 500 will last awhile but not forever.

Ty leather. I know how everyone feels on the subject because I would feel the same way. I'm glad I found the 500 for the price I did. I've picked up random jobs in sole purpose for feeding and housing my rtc and I don't like people saying the **** they have because I already know this and openly admitted it in the first line of my first post. My main concern was that I wanted to know if the water quality could be the only reason he stopped eating suddenly, or if it was contributed by another problem. But since he ate after relocation I'm not as concerned unless he does it again.

So you ever going to be cool with anything that I say on here? Im not loaded out the ass like some people so I am making a REAL effort on getting this set up, and atm he's 16 inches long im pretty sure he will be ok with 1200 gal pond for the meantime....and hes going to be the only one in there. Maybe further down the road when I have real money I can get the real (dream) indoor pond that I want. And from what i have seen on here there are people that have WAY smaller ponds with multiple RTC's and multiple TSN's in the same tank in lets say a 500 gal tank!
