well i have a syno but he's going with the oscar and pacu. i am looking for something that looks cool, gets a decent size (not too big), and has lots of character.

don't tell me that pacu is not too big?:grinno:

ha that pacu is beyond big. i snagged the 75 gal for $140 with 2 parrot cichlids ($18 each out here), three normal goldfish (who wants them!?) and a 10" platinum koi. and it came with about $300 worth of decor. i might be trading my 55 gall in for an 80 gal, that deal is still pending. i snagged it because its way better for the oscar and pacu then the 55 gal they were in. speaking of which i was meaning to get some pics of them in the new set-up.

i will see what i can do about the lima, but $30, isn't that a little steep? anywho i will ask you guys before i get any cat for sure tho, and i will be saving for the lima.

suggestions are still available though

All the fish I've gotten from LiveAquaria arrived healthy and alive. I thought $30 was a bit much, too, but if you can't find it anywhere else, it's really the only option. Plus, they don't show up sick and underfed and missing parts, or anything. I was pleased with them.

really? thanks, that helps alot, with fishing live fish its hard to trust someone. i will seriously look into the lima.

I'd get a bigger tank just for the TSN. too many a time I have seen a TSN with a broken nose. They will dart straight into the glass and if the glass doesnt break, the nose will.

we changed our minds on the TSN lol, my 55 is empty with three 3"- fish, so anything that would kind of liven the tank up from the bottom of the tank, you know?

How big is this pacu? You know they can grow 2-3 feet right? And just because a 75 looks big, doesn't mean it is. IMO, a 75 is tiny. And do some reasearch on the fish you have/want to get.

the pacu is 13" and i know a 75g is small. but its bigger then the tank it grew up in.

I'm sure that makes the pacu feel better.

i plan on upgrading as soon as hunting season is over, (september-November) then im getting a tank that will suit him fine.
