Nice Work Jed! How come you didn't stop in SPOKANE on the way back? Just kidding, I got rid of the big fish, today actually.. Don't ask me how.

Do you think the bottle water could of had anything to do with it? If it was filtered spring water it might of been stripped of nutrients and had low alkalinity, causing an unstable pH? Especially with the ammonia causing the pH to drop..

I also wouldn't trust the ammonia-remover chemical if it's designed for game fish and not aquarium fish.. "hardens scales"?? Seems odd.. Maybe Oddball will have some insight..

I wonder what caused the losses, because that sucks..

You did a great job Jed. Sorry you had to lose some fish , but its all part of the game.

Steve - Sorry bro, But bringing peacock bass here is a dream.

It could have been many factors but I can't pinpoint it on a single thing.

If you really think about it Peacock Bass are game fish. Just from a different country.

How did u get rid of them?

Yeah I know. This hobby is all a game and a gamble. Fish Live & Die and it's all part of it. You grieve for a bit then move on. :(

You guys are hardcore and did a great job. Sorry for the losses. Big Ups to Peacock for helping you on your endeavor.

Jed, all that water chagned, air pump killed those fishes.....

Tim

very nice bass BTW.... I want some....

Thanks for sharing, Jed! It was a great pleasure having you and Neal that weekend. We ate more Asian food than humanly possible and toured fish shops. I can't think of a better way to spend a weekend. :)

As I mentioned earlier, I think that you may have been "too prepared" in that the combined effects of ample aeration coupled with using the recommended "warm" dosage of Tranquil (50% increase recommended for temps above 76 degrees F) increased the metabolic uptake of the drug beyond what would normally occur in transit (in a closed plastic bag with no aeration). Regardless, I will miss those guys, but I know they're in good hands. :)

Yeah we ate like mad at that dimsum place. Too bad you didn't get to eat your pigs blood jello.

Yeah too prepared might have been it but it's funny that the mono and ocel received teh same dose and they were much smaller.
