Ouch whos arm is it lol
It was in a zoo in Taiwan. That is the hand of a trained "vet". If I remember correctly he "forgot" to tie up the mouth. It lashed out and bit off his hand. A cop then shot it to recover the hand and did so. Only the croc got injured not killed. The croc survived and remains alives and the vet's hand was reattached.

ok well heres my .2 :

when someone posts that they are getting an exotic animal and they have no idea what ts needs or how to keep one , everyone is always going to advise strongly against it. Even though most say leave the guy alone he has two other crocs, doesnt meant he can handl a third more dangerous croc. Has he even shown that he has planned on how to house the current crocs he has whn they full grown?

Its like us with the our monitor, there are TONS of monitors my husband and i want and could easidly get know that they are small. but we know that its already going to a be a project enough that we have to figure out how to make a proper home for the one we have the we know better not to get 2 other monitros that grow 4'+. Its like if in fish keeping a noob gets a 29g with an oscar, ok honest mistake, they didnt know the oscar needs a much bigger tank when adult size and they are now trying their best to figure how on earth they are going to get a large tank so soon. It would like if that person on top of knowing its going to be hard to house that oscar, went the net day and bought 3 more.

Im just saying on one hand most are saying leave the guy alone and such but he came here for advice and its is perfectly fine that people are advising against it and lisiting obvous reasons why.

to th op:
i dnt thik a salty is meant to be a pet at all, and its a shame they ar selling them as pets. its can easidly kill anyone. concentrate on properly caring for the ones u have and consider what they will ned in the future in terms of housing and feeding and then think if its possible for u to triple that in order to keep the salty.

Let him get it. We'll be reading about him and his "friendly" saltwater croc in the news when he gets eaten. I understand that he has other crocs at his farm or park or whetever he has but, Salties should be left to zoos. Not to a guy with 2 whole crocs worth of experience. Not to a guy who wants a cool pet that can eat him.

hmm I smell a liar. But in case I am wrong, I would advise to NOT get a saltwater crocodile. Especially if you don't know how to care for them.
