I bought my sal a couple weeks ago and when I got it its color was great with red but now it has become dull and the red has turn to grey and black why? It is at least 3 in. Sorry I have no pics of it.

I would get pictures, i see your from wiscosin what part. Also It could be your color, or its maturing

Is it acting the same as when it had more color?
Does it look scared and alittle jumpy or being bullied?

Bullying could be a culperate also bad water quality, diet, maybe was in breeding colors ( Though even when not they are still amazingly stunning). I have never seen a drab Salvini. Maybe it's weak gene's for color and can't produce. It is probably stress. Although when Salvini get stressed their colors intensify. I call this the Dinosaur phase because to me they look like Dinosaurs lol well at least my big male does. Bullying I don't think is a problem with salvini as if they aren't dominant they will kill anything to become the dominant one, but there is always exceptions in nature and you might have one.

I dont think it water and diet consist of pellets and feed shrimp once a week

You can ask all of your questions in a single post then post it. Each question doesnt need its own post. Anyways, i would suggest you try to feed it some krill, cyclopeeze, and earthworms to try and bring out some colors. Btw what kind of pellets are you currently using?
