Satanoperca Leucostica Media Project

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Anubisscott, fishluvr12 and Ewok, thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it!

Had a little surprise, (good one) when I came home from another family members house tonight. The Altifron Manues in the same tank decided to spawn as well. I have video uploading right now. This tank is very "rowdy" right now.....you will see what I'm talking about in a bit.

There are now 2 groups of fish in the same tank that have spawned. The Leucostica and the Altifrons. Midway thru the video you will see the female Altirons holding her clutch of eggs in her mouth. I saw them yesterday morning acting different and their tubes beginning to drop but I was not able to stay around for it. Male and female Altifrons are highly aggressive right now. Enjoy

Wow - all of your fish look absolutely stunning. Thank you for sharing. Please advise - what dithers are those? I was thinking about a similar setup with rummynose tetras, which these remind me of.

Thanks for the warm comments! Those are Rosaline Sharks, (puntius denisonii) aka red lined minnow, torpedo barb. They are a fantastic addition to an aquarium as they are pretty hardy, peaceful and fun to watch when they school. A bit expensive though IMO.

Great - good to know. Please keep the updates coming with both the altifrons and leucostica!
