if everyone is competing for a job, kids arent going to have one! im not talking about retiring. im talking about massive layoffs and companies getting shut down leaving thousands of families homless jsut because some D-bag wants to add $1.5mil more a year to his already multi million business.

They won't be, Trust me, There will always be jobs, I doubt anyone would be competing.. I actually think It's better for them to go to a 3rd world country - The medical industry which I think in the US has a major skill shortage would become satisfactory, more childcare works like teachers and the like, you know what i'm getting at.

Everytime you interview for a job, you are competing for one. If that wasn't the case, you would fill out an application and immediately start working.

Alright, let me give you to choices:

You can buy the EXACT same product from one country or another. The one you live in produces this product at 15,000.

The other one would produce it at$12,000 including tariffs and shipping. Which would you choose?

do you realize how many jobs America loses each year because of over seas production? the big man is looking for his Dollar and moves to china so he only has to pay each worker $.15 per hour. leaving us with jobs at places like Mcdonalds, burger king, Wal Mart etc. making minimum wage. nobaody can afford housing and when that happens (like it is here) construction stops. costruction stops, that means the lumbar yards close, mason factories close, trucks stop shipping, eventually everyone is competing for a job at wallyworld and our economy is ****.

Bring back American jobs and then worry about Etheopia.

pretty much i did. Construction is really our last strong Blue collar NON-UNION employment. do you think the construction guys can afford the houses they build? HELL NO! and niether can the people that work in fast food and large corporate businesses. whos going to buy them? the doctors? actors? lawyers? nope, they all want huge mansions in the middle of nowhere. so if nobody buys, they dont sell, they dont sell, people get laid off. people get laid off they dont have any money, if they dont have money they cant buy anything, made overseas or not. where walking into another depression. im not talking like the one in the 80's... most people didnt even realize there was one. im talkin on the scale of the 30's!

what will we all do then? i doubt WWIII can pull us out. we'll all be dead by that time.

i choose American made.

i dont buy Penn reels anymore because they moved overseas, i buy Avets, and Accurate.

i have a Ford F-150, not a toyota tundra. my dad drives a F-150 and my mom a Chevy 1500. my grandparents have all Chevy's.

yes i will pay 50%-200% more just to support an American Business/

There are plenty of union as well as non-union construction employees. Houses are not built overseas, so your argument is pretty much moot. You are referring to the drop in demand of housing, and that is related to high prices. That has little to do with labor overseas. Either way, I don't care. If a person from Eritrea can build me a house and ship it here cheaper than my construction worker neighbor, then let him. I will buy my house, car, cheeseburger, underwear from the entity that can produce it at the lowest cost to me. That is the definition of competition. If your neighbor owned a gas station, and was selling gas to you at 3.00 a gallon but some guy you don't know with a station 8 blocks away was selling gas at 2.00 a gallon, would you still buy gas from your neighbor? I doubt it.

Multinational corporations have you fooled. Honda is made in America, just made at a much lower labor cost. My Saturn is a GM vehicle, the engine is made in Germany. The transmission is made in Germany. But it's an American car right? Not any more or less than the Toyota Tundra.

If you are going to pay 50-200% more to buy American, that means that you are basically taking the excess funds and handing them to people that happen to live in the same country you do, but you don't know them. Why not buy the product that is cheaper, but at the same quality? Then you can take the excess money, walk next door and hand it to your neighbor. At least you know the person you are paying excess money to for know reason then.
