SB Green Terrors laid eggs!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I searched awhile here for a sb gt but couldn't get ahold of any, keep up the photos, I'm interested to see how they turn out. I ended up with regular gt's and mine just had babies too so I've been watching your pics trying to compare them.

Cool, I'll keep updating.

What stage are your fry at? Any pics?

I used your pics to estimate from actually, I was so busy with trying to get the house renovation done I didn't notice the babies until they were free swimming. My estimate is they hatched March 30th. I only had my old camera available so the photos aren't that good but I took some today and they are in my gallery. Mine today look a lot like yours did on March 26.

watching baby fry wriggle about the substrate is like watchin drunken infants! not that i know of any drunken infants....congrats on the fry! im sure the GT's will readily breed now that they got into the groove of things!

Congrats on the fry! How what are you feeding them?

Thanks Ben, I'm feeding them hikari 'first bites' but they dont' really go for it much, and I have been losing more fry.

I have less than 20 now, and they have nice bellies on them.

When my jewel cichlid fry hatched an were free swimming I improvised. I crushed up the small cichlid pellets (hikari) and mixed freeze dried brine shrimp and bloodworms (crushed as well). I know these are different fish but it is worth a try. Good luck and nice GTs. I just have one in a growout tank, waiting to see how he turns out.

I have tried some crushed up red pellets, maybe now that they're larger, i'll try again.
