Scavengers/clean up crew

Can anyone recommend some good fish to pick up the bits my ray doesn't eat?
Must be south American and pose no risk to my ray.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Pictus catfish possibly?

There are also Raphael catfish I think. May fit what you want

I considered those but they have sharp spikes on pectoral fins,I don't want to risk anything that could possibly damage my ray.

Septic tank bacteria, eats up physical waste. There's a thread on it

The south American bit rules out a great lot, since most scavengers there are catfish.. if not I would have suggested some loaches

The rays need to get food

Not a bad idea but will they eat from they bottom?

Some do. Some don't. my rays don't really need a clean-up crew. Can You cut the food into smaller pieces?
