This is the problem I have - the energy I spend researching and getting that bit closer to getting the tank running - the quicker I want to get completed

I am getting the tank of my co-worker who runs the trop department but he has to sell a few fish before he can empty it. As for the hystrix it's looking like i will have to have them imported from germany but they will cost way over the odds. I f they are too much i might just get a pair of nice motoro's and sell them on when they reach 15" disc or so

If its not hystrix, it'll be scobina or retic.

you could always get a bigger tank like me, iam thinking about getting a 6x3x2ft tank.

5 x 2.5 x 2 in 8 months. she went from 5 inches across the disc to 13inches in that time. so with the tail she was nearly 2 foot long. personaly i think that is too large for a 2 foot wide tank.
obviously growth rate varies as my other female eats the same amount and is only 10inches across. i would look at them outgrowing a 6foot tank in 1 year to 18 months.
