Jardini do grow bigger then 2 feet. Do you have plans for a 180G+ tank?

When you read that a Jardini can mix with cichla, did it point out specific species? One size does NOT fit all.

take is easy mystix... it was an impulse buy and although it was wrong he can sell it back to his LFS

Im taking it easy. Tust asking him some key questions regarding this fish.:)

Hope you enjoy your cichlids while they last, because you just bought them a one way ticket to fish heaven...

it was an impulse buy but i knew enough about it before i got it except for the fact that its the meanest arowana and wont tolerate tank mates. i sorta assumed that all arowanas were the same and just peacefully swam at the top.
im not gonna return it though. ima wait till the 8 inch mark and see if it gets agressive then move it out to a 180+. the cichlids will survive.

it will grow quick and will pick off your other fish your fish is australian aro if im not mistaken i would imagine your water conditons are also wrong mabuna cichlids should have salt added right?????

This "plan" you have, is it based from an experienced point of view? Cause you sure talk like you really know what you're doing. I'm going to tell you in the nicest way I possibly can (even with a smile :) ), you're not ready for this fish. Your cichlids WILL NOT just....survive, the jardini will not get any nicer or tolerant, and I really don't think you're going to have a large enough tank ready when it is needed. If you have any care in the world for the fish you keep, you need to either get rid of the jar, or get rid of the cichlids. Preferably the first option. Again, I say this in the nicest way I possibly can, so please don't take it as a stab.

Well if you are keeping it....then you better start reading about your aro & mbunas! From the vantage point of a long time fish keeper it is never calming to watch your fish die, so please consider separating your mbuna! The aro is an awesome fish, just make sure you are providing the right living conditions - HEATER being the most important!!

GL!!
