Im sorry to say i was not joking about the first part of that post, your lying to yourself if you think politicians care at all about protests and stuff. If they happen to pass a law that was demanded in a protest it was becuase they were already going to pass it because they wanted votes that is all.

Until a protest threatens to loose them money or cost them votes they will do nothing and as long as their opponents are not offering to pass such laws, they are not loosing votes so it dosen't concern them.

Don't ever think politicians care about you at all they look down on you as little puppets to use however they please.

Are there better ways of making people aware of the problem absolutely (look at Steve Irwin he certainly didn't protest or blow up ships or anything he took the middle road and ultiamtely the right one with EDUCATION) But thats not to say i don't disagree with what they are doing infact Steve Irwin himself supported the sea shepherd society.

What I was talking about was where you said they should be killed. Anyway, I think you are a little too negative about the US government. Whether polititions care about the individual or not, they still have to at least act like they care and pass/suggest laws that would benefit us in some way, otherwise there's no way in h*** they would win any future elections, so it really doesn't matter whether or not they truely care (which some actually do, imho).

Actually I'm a fan of him in so much as he makes it real obvious as to what's happening. If it get people to watch (which it has or they would have dropped the show) so now people know japan is flouting the whaling laws.

My personal tactic is to not by stuff with the made in Japan mark. Whaling and dolphin hunting would come to an INSTANT halt if the US simply refused Japanese product for import till it did.

They are big kids; if they decide to risk their lives to stop whaling it is their decision. Watch the documentary The Cove to see why people like those on the Sea Shepherd are necessary. I do roll my eyes at their tactics sometimes tho.

Well that just proves that Watson is a tard. I remember one episode someone on the crew questioned one of his ideas....his reply "who's the one with the communications degree" or something to that effect. Didn't know a degree from a jounior college made u the smartest in the world. Lol

And what about the people on board the whaling vessel. They do this because it is a job for them and they need to feed their family. They did not sign up to have their lives threatened by pirates.
