I mentioned in that thread about how strange it is from a business perspective to have a product that is so concentrated such that your potential costomers buy a bottle and don't have to buy another bottle for, in some cases, YEARS to come..

it doesn't make sense from a business perspective, and it also puts retailers who sell Prime in an akward spot too:

you want to have customers buy from your store on a frequent basis.

if you sell them a 2 L bottle of Prime for only $30 US, you won't see them in your store for water conditioner for the next 10 years...LOL

it is completely backwards all around..

Seachems products are excellent, but they are almost too concentrated in some cases..

even the fertilizers are the same. One little bottle treats like 4000 gallons..well, you sell someone a bottle of that stuff and they won't have to buy fertilizer, seachem or otherwise for a long long time..

thats not what seachem would want and thats not what a retailer would want..

so...its really really weird...

Our store sells Kent Ammonia Detox, which treats 20 gals per capful. It's sad that I don't buy filters, food, or conditioner from the store I work at,and I get products at cost.

I used to get stuff at 25% off and the discount saves a lot!

if you get the stuff at cost thats awesome!

Not if we don't carry my favorite products. We DO NOT carry Hikari, Omega One, AquaClear, or Seachem.

Have them put out a suggestion box and then tell everyone in town to drop those products in the suggestion box, lol.

Is it a regular lfs or a chain store like Petco, etc?

How's MN been lately? I'm originally from a small town outside of Hibbing, up north from you.

We have a store 2 blocks down that carries those products, so we won't. We are basically the premier fish store in the Twin Cities, I bought almost all my fish there before I started working there. We have the best livestock, just not the best products.

I bought the seachem ferts before, and they don't last long at all. The Flourish only lasted 1.5 months for a 2 liter bottle. They claim to be concentrated, but they don't have nearly enough nitrate, or potassium IMO.
