i was thinking of an aro but a 120 seems too small for one.

lets think of ca and sa fish.

catfish and cichlids
large.
but not too large
 
Why not go with fish that look better and better every time you go in the classroom. Jack Dempseys (maybe a couple of electric blue's), long-finned oscar, green terrors, a group of tinfoil barbs(just for shoaling), firemouths, blue acara's, female salvini's, a vampire pleco or a chocolate hi-fin, maybe a couple of irredisant sharks.

It wouldn't be a boring tank once the attitudes start showing. Halfway through class you hear a loud splash, "oh crap someone is getting pounded, what's going on in the tank." :arapaimag
