Sex my Dovii's

Well I will keep you guys updated the member I got them off said they were too small to sex but I am a dovii newb now I am left with unwanted females when I only wanted a male as I told him several times

here's a comparison photo. the above pic is what I think is a male at 3 inches. mine lacks the solid lateral line, the body and fins are already beginning to develop. hope this helps. definitely keep updating I'd like to see them grow.

Thanks for your support I really appreciate it so you think it may be a male? I will post a new update/ growth thread in a week or two and I will continue from that thread from now on

Well I bought them from a member as f1 dovii unsexed but I told the guy several times I really wanted a male I really wanted a male well he had one in his show tank and it looked amazing it was not for sale I don't want a female at all I want a male and after buying 3 off of him for 40 dollars a pop I am feeling like I got ripped off I don't want a female I don't care for females all I ever wanted was a male so I spent 120 on these supposed f1 dovii and now I am feeling like I am stuck with these unwanted females I just hope in some kind of way one can be a male. I live in so cal and nobody has any dovii so I figured I would try this guy out and me being a dovii newb I don't know what to look for I feel like I got taken if it helps it's their second day in the tank after making a 30 minute car ride in a 5 gallon bucket they went from they guys 55 to my 180

umm hopefully that price was after sipping? F1 is the first fry from a wild caught pair so that's pretty cool about yours, the price however seems a bit steep ( I'm no expert btw). I bought mine for $8.99. prices may differ in your location tho. don't get discouraged tho there's still time for one of them to flip on you and become the male you're looking for :-)
 
Nope I went and picked them up after a 30 minute drive it's their 2nd day in the tank and yes I paid 40 each or 120 for the three and yes I am totally new to dovii cichlids so I didn't know what price to expect for so cal if one is a male I don't mind the $120 I would pay 200 for an f1 male haha but they way it's looking I could be screwed hope not though
