Devon I purchase two aurantis ,from the same guy , he said both a pair , and they really get along well, but I have doubts I am posting pics
Yeah he only eats live fishes....
First i will try to bulk him up...thn go for frozen shrimps.....actually i hav 10 hectares of shrimps ponds......lol
N also he stays on top of the tank....dnt know why....i hav top filter for auranti tank, is water currents is creating any problems? Or its normal hanging on the top

Lingering at the top can be from stress this is somewhat normal when new to a tank they'll look for escapes.
But they'll do the same if something's stressing them.
A Top filter is a bad choice they instinctively will try to swim up stream and use them as an escape route. The Most common causes for stress is too open of environment (lack of hides &/or floating cover). High temps, tankmates and too much flow.
Any full tank shots? What are the parameters /temps?

Introducing a female as young and as soon possible is best . Once they settle into a solo life they won't pair,
Also they rarely pair with just one male and female. Better with a male heavy group 3 male 1-2 female and hope 2 bond. With just a pair more often then not they'll turn on each other at maturity
