Shooting at school

The subject of allowing guns on campus was brought up several times before, including a discussion on how it would not be allowed. All that did was show that one state is trying to do it. Only way that becomes political is when people make it political and others whine about it.

That's not true. Every school in thru out the five boroughs of new York have armed police officers. Even though their cops they still carry a gun.

Personally speaking if I was a teacher in that situation I wouldn't think twice about it I would do what needed to protect the children. Forget keeping my job. I rather be broke and homeless then witness what happened.

Actually, not every school has armed police officers. They just have 'School Safety Officers' who are unarmed and unfortunately, cops past their prime.

When I was in school they had both regular and school safety officers

He's a free man nd clean as a whistle. Him and the father had nothing to do with the shooting. The shooter Adam lanza had his brother Ryan's old I.d. on him at the time of the shooting

I'm not referring to gun-free as in police officers, I'm talking about gun-free to the general public. And even then, not all schools have police officers on site. With budget cuts these days, they can barely manage to patrol the cities.

Not sure how it works in all states but here in CA even if you have a concealed weapons permit you can't carry on school grounds. But should it be that way? It's obvious these laws do nothing to protect kids.

Its a federal law that creates those victim zones.
