It definitely has a problem. Whether it was born that way or sustained an injury while very young I cannot tell. It'll be interesting to see how well it competes with the healthy Cichla as it grows. I'm guessing that in the wild it would never make it to adult hood.

If it were my fish I'd sell it off to someone that likes deformed fish and use the money to get some quality specimens. Just saying...

It's a really a big defect on its body, spine curvature. This guys should've been culled long time ago. By short body I understand selecting the individuals that stay "smaller" while morphologically perfect ...not present such defects.

Neo will buy it, I think he made the deformed fish popular

I agree its not a short body and does have a deformed spine or something like that. The fish swims, feeds and is growing fine. I will one day sell it to someone who has an interest in this kind of fish but I could neber just kill it cause it's deformed. personally its one of my favorites and I'm curious to see as it grows. maybe someone in japan will give me big bucks for it LOL

keep it, he stayed alive this long let him live
Yeah it could be the runt/mascot.

Might be interesting to see what it looks like as an adult, if the deformity allows it to make it that far. If it doesnt have any trouble with competition for food, I would keep it just out of curiosity.

this thing eats more than any of the others LOL
