It's no doubt that the LFS can get them for me but their distributor isn't shipping to my area right now. THe last shipment from them got delayed 48 hours so they all died.

You could always just keep some of the more common fish right now that are available to you locally. I understand when money is tight.
That's an idea. How would I do this via MFK since I don't live in the same place as everyone. That's definitely an option. I can afford 30-40 dollars on shipping. The Shellies are going to cost me 19.99 a piece at my LFS no matter where they get them... They've got high prices unfortunately. But good quality fish. Which is why I will pay the higher prices.
a group buy will be with people in your area. find mfk people near you and get them from daves. have them sent to someone from the group then pick them up when they arrive!
Yeah... there's not a whole lot of them that interest me anymore. I think what I'll have to do is wait till spring. Fish things pick up then.

the distributor wont ship them to the LFS and let you pick them up from there? I dont like having so many middle men, but i find it easier than paying shipping since the LFS can just tack it on with their order. and sometimes will give you a bit of a discount since theyre guaranteed a quick sale on them. But, it's all variable, unfortunately.
The distributor won't ship to my LFS right now. They lost a good chunk of change with that shipment.
