The distributor won't ship to my LFS right now. They lost a good chunk of change with that shipment.

oh my b; I thought you meant they did private shipping. WHATS A LFS WITH NO FISH?? lol good luck on your hunt; i dont have much experience buying fish online

Instead of an Oscar, how about these options?

1) a GT and a JD?

or if you want something to breed,

1) a pair of convicts (yeah yeah I know)
or
2) a colony of yellow labs?

the distributor wont ship them to the LFS and let you pick them up from there? I dont like having so many middle men, but i find it easier than paying shipping since the LFS can just tack it on with their order. and sometimes will give you a bit of a discount since theyre guaranteed a quick sale on them. But, it's all variable, unfortunately.

Yepppurrrr!!!...The guy at my LFS says he'll just add whatever I want to his order (dave's being one of the distributers) and give a 25% as long as I pick up upon arrival.

That sucks u might have to wait Liz. The people at ur LFS must not care too much about earning ur business or networking. At least mine here in Corpus tried calling a few places in front of me (wanted a pure trimac).
Couldn't find one, so I just got an Oscar....(tryin to make u jealous..hehe):naughty:. Hope u find what ur looking for. Try callin Dave's for shipping..shouldn't be too much. The distance is like 400 miles I think.

I've got a boat load of these guys about half way between fry and juvie size. You can have them for the shipping. They're shell dwellers, but Malawis.

They don't get very big and are peaceful.

I have some other fry, Red Empress, Labeotropheus fuelleborni, a couple of others. Oh, Labidochromis caeruleus is another group. I will have some Pundamilia nyererei (Lake Victorian, Makobe Island) soon.

I'll be honest, I've never shipped fish...but if our friends at MFK can talk us through it and you're interested, they're yours!
