Should I just give up?

How annoying this situation is. I feel really bad for you and i understand why you have been caring for the fish. I would do the same thing. How about you evict your brother in law? lol. I am very picky about my household, i can't do roommates or anything like that anymore. One decor is out of place and I am irritated lol. Then on top of that if someone were to get a fish and mistreat it? Wrath.

sell it to me.
i'd love to buy a jar, what's its size?

Sell it and either tell him you sold it , or say it died.

Then tell him that from now on, every fish he brings in your house will be sold or given back to petstore. EVERYTIME.

And that it being YOUR house, he is not allowed to have ANY animals in your house ANYMORE since he abuses them. :irked:

got it; I think selling fish to most of you guys will be a problem since I'm in CA.

But, problem will be taken care of soon I promise. In meantime, will do another WC just to make sure Jar is ok.

:):)THANX ALL FOR YOUR COMMENTS.:):)

sell the fish and use thin knife too remove the sealant in some places of the tank
and you can tell him that his tanks got a leak and you had no other option rathre than to sell the fish
and he won't be able to house any more monster fish in those puny tanks

Let him take care of it and what ever happens, happens. Idiots like him keep the tropical fish industry going.
"Let the dummies keep killing their fish..They keep LFS in business."

Does your wife understand the situation? I would never allow a sibling of mine or even my brother in law to get away with this. If she is not a fish person, why not sit her down, tell her that just she would not want to see a poor cat or dog die, this is an innocent animal which needs a tank with hundreds of gallons or it will die a slow, painful, gory death. And then have her yell at her brother that he's causing her husband all of this trouble over a fish that he doesn't care about. If he says that he cares about it, somebody needs to pipe in with do you care enough to learn about it and give it room it needs. If you can't make this happen, I really do support the pretending it died thing.

Believe me, she does understand. Situation has been I yell, she yell, at me and her brother, and he yell back at her. He better not yell at me.

One thing was that he just went ahead and did his thing w/out telling or asking any of us. We were blindsided.

But, I will take care of problem, and will let all of you guys know it.
