The method suggested would be
1. Take some gravel out if you have to much.
2. After water and debris settles, gravel vac about 30% of the water out.
3. Refill tank as required.
4. 1 or 2 days later gravel vac another 30% of the water out, refill as required.
5. 1 or 2 days later gravel vac another 30% of the water out, refill as required.
do you see where we are heading with this method? Your not changing ALL of the water at one time, you spread it out so you don't kill the fish. DO NOT carry the tank into the driveway and dump the gravel and water out..just take 10 mins a day every couple of days and do almost a 1/3 water change. Its only a 10 gallon tank so it shouldnt take to darn long. And after you get it straight, maintain the thing. It a very small / closed loop system and takes no time to get overloaded with waste.
