This is my 300 gallon rubbermaid sump. It is for my 135 freshwater community. It is located in the crawl space, which is nice, it keeps the noise and mess out of the house.
I hear a lot of people poo poo the little bio-wheels but IME they are pretty amazing and can increase your biological capicity considerably. I like what you've done with yours. Very nice!

Pure myth. There are a couple of threads in the Setup Forum describing and "proving" that throttling the discharge reduces energy consumption and increases the life of the pump.
But back on topic.
This is my diy Sump "room" for my 300 gallon tank. I keep it filled to right around the 200 gallon level giving me 500 total gallons. Stock list is in my signature and all are about 4 months old. The glass tank sitting on the sump is a 40 gallon breeder. This is where I age the water before adding it to the system. I am using a Mag Drive 2400 to return water to the main tank.
Some day I'll get everything finished so it looks "cleaner".
nice set up. I was thinking of doing something similar. Do you run the line from the FX5 to the sump? The line from the sump to the FX5? Or from the tank to each one separately?
