No pics at the minute but i can sort some out for you if need be mate, but, the K1 chmaber is packed in not moving, i didnt have a good enough power head to get it moving about enough, or a strong enough air pump.

For the K1 chamber all it would need is for the chamber to be half filled or enough so that the media can move about freely, the more the better as you will know and the K1 to stay in there as it floats all over the place when new, it does become less bouyant in time, maybe a few days, i added a sponge that you can just see on exit side of the chamber to keep it in from being sucked under into the heater chamber.
A good power head or big air stone would do the trick, when i did try it with a power head though i noticed that the K1 easly got sucked to the power head intake gauze/fiter.
hmmm
maybe if you ise those pipe airstones or wooden , might work . gotta try it but good idea ;)

Not sure what you mean about the wooden but the pipe airstone i guess is just a pipe with small air holes in it?

I will be building a new sump for this new tank soon so i will give it a try.

Went from this:

To this. I estimated an increase in bio-mass by about 400%, and water by 5g. Water is returned via a Mag18.
