Huh, ok. Never thought they'd be dollars (none of them have any spotting on the 'ear spot' like the other pics of dollars I see). Someone in a thread I started says they're Longears.... I have no idea anymore XD

5.5 in LE in my tank
Couple hours fishing the river in front of house. Threw in a crappie and rock bass.

In the last hour and a half I caught about 25-30 sunfish using bread and a cane pole and I'm using one of them as bait to catch larger catfish while watching the sun go down what a night in south florida

Thanks. We have awesome GS and LE's here. They have taken over the drainage and it is hard to find quality BG's anymore except in isolated ponds/lakes. If they only got to 10 in like the BG I would be in heaven.
BTW....that's my woman's. I bite my nails lol.
We have both Green sunfish and Longears here (and the Greens are takeing over areas the Longears used to inhabit in some of the creeks).....but the Greens we have even in the spring aren't that pretty, yours definitely have more yellow and blue In them than ours; Lol I didn't notice the nails until you mentioned it

Purple mode double ear. I get these of the ice and after ice out. Not sure if it's a hybrid.

Rairdog, you don't have any pumpkinseeds in your picture. The first picture is a hybrid green sunfish, the second, third and fourth pictures are longear sunfish. The last picture is just a pure bluegill.
