I agree, it was hard to tell from the first picture; nice fish, hows he eating?

Threw in some minnows and he didn't even come out. Now that I know they're in the river I will try for some small ones and get them on pellets. New fish quest syndrome!

Ive never had one but I love the striped pattern on warmouth....Im sure hell come out to eat as soon as he gets used to his new surroundings.

For sure a warmouth and not rock bass, although we are in different regions the rockies around here have red eyes, all of them. Never seen one without. Nice fish, hope he acclimates well!

I agree Notho except we call them Missouri Longear hear in Missouri LOL (theyre the same subspecies of Longear).

These two went back into the drink as my tank was not set up yet. While fishing from my kayak I came across an area with these... I plan on going back this spring to collect one of these beauties.
