My dream setup is a wall length and height enclosure w/ bottom half full of water for a few arrowanas and then the rest land for a couple nice big iguanas.

And since I keep posting in here without a pic, here's another pic of the jags together :D

That's a blue convict that I could never get to breed. out of the 6 I started with I ended up with one pair but the rest just grew on me I couldn't get rid of them, they're so much fun to watch at feeding time.

I have never owned any convicts.. but i know they usually breed easily and they even use them as feeders etc.. every time i see a picture of one i am amazed at how beautiful they are and i cannot amagine how they happen to get on the bottom of the list of the sought after fish of fish keepers..I quess being easy breeders did not help them.. yours are real gems.. these fish definitly need our renewed attention.

Here's a shot of the baby p.bass I had last year for all of about 2 weeks before the honey gourami killed it. It grabbed the p's caudal fin and shook him, after that it's spine was crooked and died shortly after :(

haha you're right, and I've been thinking all night and day so far about those shovelnose, think I'll go talk to my friend @ the store tommorrow see what species exactly they are and price. When I was there yesterday there was no price or label yet on them, and then I'll have him watch them for a week(if I can handle that, patience is slim for stuff like that haha) or so and make sure they're eating more than just feeders.

Thats a very good idea.. that is what i usually do..i tell the LFS that i will pick up in a week.. that way i know when i go back that the next week and i look at the fishes stomach and see how they are in general.. i have had major impulse buys when i would just buy on the spot..but now i have a little control .. i tell them to put him in a tank and write my name on it.. after all if your a good customer they try to make you happy, i want to make sure they will live though.. i hate getting something home and finding it dead after you go through all the planning of getting everything ready.. anyway i quess i got long winded.. :grinno: cannot wait to see the shovelnose...:naughty: Have a good time at the fish meet..
