not sure which one you're thinking of.....maybe isuzu impulse w/ "suspension by lotus" ? :D

i had a brain fart......yes that'd be the chrysler conquest/mitsubishi starion......a good friend had one, they're a hoot, but the majority of the ones still running are rotted......

I almost got a conquest, but went for the BMW E30 instead. I wish I would have got the conquest. My BMW is now nicknamed "hitler" and sits in the garage awaiting parts and money. It's good looking though!! lol

sure v-8's can make mad power and many different parts are available to make it do whatever you want......but their still pushrod engines :D

The V8 in my '04 Mach 1 is DOHC, and has a 7000 rpm redline. There is still a butload of performance parts for it.

Not that there is anything wrong with pushrods though.

werd, nothing wrong with a pushrod engine that can make a crap load of power NA. if it works, why change it? my LS1 has a "small" cam in the LS1 world and is making 370hp with stock head

To reply to the above Robinson Crusoe: Not all cars are made to cross rivers. Some of them are, imagine, built for roadwork. I could go on about the superior engineering of european cars, but will refrain from it...

As to Porsche..well, for me Porsche is the 911 ( in its several configurations, even the water cooleds ) and when we 're talking 911, we're not talking cars, or even, as above also said, "supercars"...WE'RE TALKING ABOUT A MYTH, A 44 YEAR OLD MONUMENT TO BEAUTY AND CRAFTSMANSHIP...WE'RE TALKING PURE, UNDILUTED, UNCORRUPTED, POETRY.

that about sums up the 911, i've always said that all 911's have a soul :)
i also like to compare it to the F-14, the F-14 was nearly decommisioned numerous times, but with the fine tuning of the aircraft and the technology added to the already proven frame keeps it a very very potent machine which can easily perform powerfully with anything in it's class.

i'm an anti-nascar guy so i have this personal thing against pushrod engines, but i have driven many vettes, mustangs and know their performance capabilities......just not my cup of tea :)
