Its Funny. I was in Petsmart last night looking at the fish... Firemouths Check can get them . Convicts Check can get them Oscars Check can get them... Jags Check can them ... Red devils Check Can get them Mollies Check Can get them .... The majority of there stuff I can get out of canals down here ... Amazing..

Did you see any Mayans in the pet store? lol thats one cichlid I have yet to see for sale be it here or when I lived in NY. Its actually an amazing cichlid .

If I had a big pond would get a pair find them underrated fish. Untill Wiggles posted that site didnt know they could live in brakkish water.

No .. But I saw Salvinis at Pet World on University and 595 a month or so ago.

Saw a guy offering to catch you mayans on craigslist for 10 bux each a few months ago ..

Beverlys had Mayans for sale under Red Terror.. Wanted 50 bux a pop for big boys... 12/14in + .. anyone wants any mayans just come to south florida...

someone has been selling alot of collected fish to the local stores lately. I shake my head at the Mayan "red terrors" though , but whatever it takes to make ends meet.

They had a tank full of Salvini too .. but they didnt look as good as wild caught..

The wild ones will sometimes pale after they are put in a tank (in mass). The bright females that hold thier color, of course, get purchased first and arn't in the sale tanks long.
