Test strips are crap. Get yourself a liquid test lit. Keep up with daily water changes for a week.

Thanks! I appreciate it! Any particular brand? Again, I really appreciate the help.

I thought those Puffers were brackish/marine, aren't they? Or maybe I missed it that you've got them in marine salt. I may be very wrong (I've never had one) but I'd have bet money they needed marine salt and hard water/high pH.
I think I'll go look that up just to satisfy my curiosity.
(But a double-yes to more water changes).

Fahakas are from the African Nile River.

Learn something new everyday. I had no idea. I thought only Dwarf Puffers were freshwater. Thank you.

Actually there are only 2 brackish puffers seen regularly in the hobby.. Figure-8 and Green spotted.. Granted, their are others (fugu, etc) but you never hardly seem them available.

There is what.. 25-30 species of completely freshwater puffer? maybe more.. majority of 'brackish' puffers are mis-labeled in the pet stores, like the T. Turgidus I rescued from a brackish tank.

There's a guy been offering to supply BW Redlines lately but I've been talking him against purchasing them.

It's not too hard to find the Ceylon (T fluvitilis) either. Lots of times you can see them mislabled & swimming with F8s.

I've actually sent a lot of people to your websight. I can't believe I didn't know so many were freshwater! This opens up a whole new world for me-and others, I'm sure. As much water as I like to change I never felt like going the whole brackish/marine route.
Where can I put another tank.........
