Sick robertsoni..stumped on this one

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Keep up the good work Steve and hopefully she will come round.
Worst comes to worst, can't grumble she has had a good innings.
Not pleasant to see an old favourite struggling.
Fingers crossed.

Thanks Darren. It's good to see her acting like she was before. Very good sign.

Well, I think I spoke too soon. This morning she was swimming normal, moving up and down, but now she is back to this. Thoughts on why?
Also, it's been awhile since I delt w/ HITH. How do you know it's clear? Does this look like she still has it?

She looks like she still has HITH because the pits are not the same color as the surrounding skin.

Thanks!

I'll start that treatment again.

Also do think soaking pellets in epsom salt/distilled water will be much more effective than adding it to the water? I have been doing the water since she wasn't eating.

I'm probably fighting an uphill battle with her age.

Yes, soaking the pellets in epsom salt will be more effective than having it in the water for HITH treatment. The fish should immediately eat the pellet, otherwise the epsom salt will get diluted in the tank water.

Thanks, I will give it a try.

I noticed bulges on both sides near the tail. Anyone have ideas what this is? In the circled area.
