Significant other and keeping fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Jack Daniels works pretty well in these situations.

my girlfriend never realy took intrest in my fish.
I have a few tigerbarbs and more.all smal fish.
today she went with me to my lfs.she saw a full grown oscar and she loved it.
Some fish are pretty and enegetic, but nothing pulls your attention like
a puppy in water.(figuratively ufcourse)

YOU'RE ALL SPOILED
most wives nag and complain about fish tanks and the space and time it takes and the money wasted on water/electricity/food/maintenance. and will take their every interest in getting rid of the fish and the tanks

...sigh.

and literally. If I see a canine puppy struggling in the water...I'm gonna need a towel.

i did. I got her a black moor and she named him "gilbert fishby aka Gil." She's coming around since the conversion from piranhas to cichlids...

When I met my wife, she had a 55 and asked me if I had aquariums. I told her I had a few. She said she'd love to see them. She almost keeled over when I brought her to see the hatchery. She said the 20K+ gallons (back then) was almost deafening from all of the water movement and the blowers. Since then, she's gotten a bit bored with her 55 and we gave it to our boy. Now, she has her 1/2 cylinder 300 gal and a very tame mbu puffer all her own. Although, I'll occassionally catch her feeding and cleaning the other 125 tanks. Guess you could say I got lucky.
