Significant other and keeping fish

My dad will sometimes annoy me with questions. I will feed, let's say the gar tank and the smaller one won't come up to eat. Well whatever to her, I mean it's only one day, she is skittish at times so no problem, the next day I will try again. My dad will be like" that fish didn't eat, that's sort of mean not to feed it". I will tell him that it's okay but he insists I try to feed her, It's no big deal, but still can get frustrating at times.

My hobby is keeping fish in tanks, wich means that I spend most of the time for my hobby at home.. wich pleases my wife, and I guess that is the reason why she is so supportive :)

I'm in debate now with mine because she wants me to downsize. I have 7 set up in our home, and 4 at my brother's home. She wants me to cut down to 3, maybe 4 most. My brother's wife wants to get rid of one of those, too.
I keep procrastinating...

I'm planning on keeping the 150g, 125g, 1-90 and 1-75. She wants me to cut down to only the 125g, 1-75g, 60g, and the 42 hex.

You cant win with your brothers wife so keep the battle with your wife. Also consider garage/basement or an outdoor shed that can be insulated and heated/cooled

hmm so on the original post of this thread.... everyone finds different things interesting so if you have found something you enjoy as a hobby maybe you just need to let her find a hobby she enjoys and that way you guys have something to do and have time to yourself ya know... i think ever relationship needs that..time to do your own thing!

Jamieshard has the right Idea I think. I would see if there is something that she wants to start doing as a hobby. Or maybe something that the 2 of you can do togetther to show her that you are interested in her. Although I guess I am lucky cause my gf takes interest in my fish and turtles, and she will let me read this site for hours instead of making me watch the hills for ever on sunday morning. Not to mention that I find my dad in my room talking to one of my turtles kuppa.

Luckily I'm in the same boat.:headbang2 Unfortunately she does buy presents occasionally, Like the TSN for my 45gallon:screwy:, or more recently a spotted gar for my angelfish tank...
