SWEET silver dollars!i wanna mix bichir with silver dollars but due the fast eating nature of the silvers i doubt the bichir will get enough food! Beautiful tanks though everyone! Red Hooks are also awesome!

The SDs don't eat the pellets I feed my gar, because the pellets are too big to fit in their mouths, and they float! They do steal Algae Wafers, as well as the pellets I feed my Pleco, but then the gars steal those foods, too. Everyone steals from everyone LOL.

They are very active. I have 6 of them. 2 red fins and 4 red hooks. I'm planning to get 6 more red hooks.
I added a couple leaves I trimmed off of some anubias to see if my SD's would eat it (red hooks, duriventre, schomburgki), and there was nothing left within a couple hours.
Not too sure why you'd need to cook any vegetables to get SD's to eat them because they eat all sorts of vegetation , in the wild. I feed mine celery cut into thinner strips on a regular basis, along with cucumber, zuchinni, and any other vegetable 'trimmings' from the store (ie. brocolli stems cut into slices etc.).
