well yea they are both cool

I got the manager at Petland to show me the small one, but as soon as she put it in the tank it started acting funny. I think she unfortunately put it to soon in the water, but whatever. So I told her to put the big one on hold for me, as I am short of funds right now (college student).

If your black aro already have a long perfect barbels take good care of it well so it won't damge the barbels. Adult aro's barbels will have a slimmer chance of growing back the barbels if it got damage compare to an aro that is 10" or smaller.

Most 20"+ adult black aros you've seen today are wild caught and the barbels were probably already damage. That's why you are probably thinking that adult black aros have shorter barbels. Go to Asia especially Indonesia and Japan where they are now captive breeding black aro. I've seen a 27" black aro with a nice long barbels in Japan before. As I said before, it depend on the owner and the environment of the fish that makes an aros barbels in perfect shape. Only recently some captive breed black aros are now showing up today with nice long barbels.

you know whats weird? my friend had this black for 1 year and when he 1st got it it had no barbels and he fed it goldfish feeder all year and no barbel grew and he gave me his black b/c he doesnt like it and i have kept it for like idk 3 months? and like i feed the black, krills, mealworm and i notice the barbel start to grow,i guess my foods had more nutrient lol

not trying to knock this off topic, but ive had this retarded question for a while. Does a silver and black have the same body shape but just different colour? I used to think they look exactly the same in body shape but there are guys who tell me they are completely different.

Previous post you've made seem to conflict this one.
