I'm currently cycling a 75. It's been up a little over a month with some danios. Levels are testing 0,0,0.
Running two aquaclear 110's for filtration.

I've thought about an Oscar, but I'm reading and hearing that's boarder line for one oscar.

What about a Green Terror? Can I house one green terror in a 75?

How many danios are you cycling with? If ammonia and nitrite are zero there should be nitrates.

x2 it should read 0,0, (some low number here) lol.

A solo male GT would be pretty beast in a 75 but with the floor space, I'd end up doing a pair :)

You are perfectly OK to keep one GT plus a number of smaller cichlides in a 75 gal. I keep a single male with smaller Tanganyikans and Peacocks in a 75 gal for years and they get along well. GT is not a big cichlid maxing out at about 10 inch. I am not sure why GT is named terror because it is not aggressive towards other species, and only mildly aggressive conspecies off breeding time.

As others said, a GT will be fine, though so will an oscar, really (as long as water quality is kept in check). Just to be clear though, if the parameters are coming up 0,0,0, then your tank hasn't begun to cycle yet and isn't ready for new fish. The danios probably aren't producing enough ammonia yet, or else your test kit is giving an inaccurate reading.

I think a male Green Terror could reach 12 inches if the conditions are met and with enough time. Believe me, some are more mellow and some are very aggressive. Every Green Terror is different; many people obtain more tame specimens and claim they are really peaceful; however, consider Jack Dempsey, Green Terrors, and many other types of cichlids, these fish earned these names for a reason. I have had tame Jack Dempseys and Green Terrors, but many more have lived up to their name without comparison and could be called murderers. If they happen to be in spawning mode, forget about peaceful...
