I'm still wondering how you calculated 47.6g

I think 47.6g would calculate as the outer dimension, take into consideration of glass thickness and gallons would come out to 44.5(not too concerned with decimals LOL)

I'm failing to see your point but for the record, are you agreeing the actual capacity is 44.5 or 47.6. To me 3 gallons is substantial.

I would think fast schooling fish would prefer a 55. Slower fish would like a deep tank(40B).

Funny about the size of 40B...when I bought 3 back in the early 90's they were sold as being 45 gallon tanks.
