The 8 is fine but if the ray gets up to the upper end of size it may be a little cramped in there.
My tank is just under 36in wide so I am hoping this will be big enough.
I have seen Aquamans female and she can touch both sides of a 2ft with tail and snout (tail actually goes up the side) but she is breeding fine and the mother of my pup.
