Ya I was a little concerned but I have a really strong vac and without the vac head thing (if its straight hose) its a lot more stronger. So if I just wedge it between the cracks it'll pull out the poop. I've actually tested this theory before laying it down. It does have strength to pull from a square foot area. Also, they've already pooped and its still sitting on the tile. On top of that I scoop poop out daily. So, hopefully it works in the long run.

for the amount for cichla you have right now, I wouldn't worry about the crap being stuck under the tile, and with you scooping the crap out along with the vac I don't see a problem. But if you do add a few more fish to that tank you will have to be concerned with what does get stuck under the slate tile.

But I'm diggin the look though

Eventually I will. But this is it for now. Tile cutting tools are quite expensive lol.

i bet a tile shop would cut them for you if you know the correct size.

I got a wet tile saw for 99$ at home depot did my whole basement with it works like champ. But like gangster said get a shop or someone to cut it for a small fee or ask a friend that might have the tools.. Or last resort rent one from home depot
