Slate tile bottom on my 300g

I love the tile look.
I did tile on my 90 and Its easily the easest tank to take care of.
I bought 12" and 6" tiles so that I did not have to cut anything and get the benifit of a more non-uniform look. I even took a few of the extra tiles and used them to help build the rock piles for my African cichlids.
 
Yeah its a hard thing to do if you don't compact them very tightly/form fittingly inside the tank BEFORE there is water in it.

I tried to do the same thing and had the above problem explained...

Even though in my opinion it looks much better then any other substrate if done right!
