Awesomeness, they are starting to look more like bass. Thanks for the updates. Mono's or Ocellaris? (probably spelt that wrong)

They are Florida PB hybrids. Most likely, mix of Monos and Ocells.

They are now in three filtered tanks.

1 20g high tank has the fries hatched away from the stick.

The sticky fries are now split between a 20g long tank and a 29g tank.

Today their feeding will now include a little bit of Krill powder to start weaning them off the baby brine shrimp and decapsulated brine shrimp eggs. Krill powder is 60% protein for higher growth rates and cost about a third of brine shrimp eggs and has the same color as baby brine shrimp and much easier and takes much less time to prepare.

well how big are they? and how far are you away from Orlando? Ive got a seperate tank i could put a couple in..

He's 4 - 5 hours away from Orlando, Somewhere in the SW section of Miami-Dade county.

Great thread - thoroughly enjoyed reading that from start to finish! What a find! And you are going to be requiring a LOT of tank space soon, aren't you! Great result - hope they all make it and find good homes!

They are now a few days over 3 weeks free swimming and over 1/2 inch and some are approaching 1 inch. This is the time to start looking at the packs with tails sticking out of their mouths or much bigger size fries compared to the rest as they will eat their slower/weaker siblings.

A close up of a couple of them and views from the top of the main pack.
