when I was volunteering at the vet last year I saw a BP that had been chewed almost all the way around its body

I feel bad for the snake but finally a mouse that can fight back....I feel even worse for the little mice that get eaten by snakes...

Yikes! All the more reason to feed pre-killed.

I agree .Can't think of single reason to feed live unless snake is a pain to feed . Live does work better for difficult eaters but most snakes eat thawed well .

I suspect the owner of that BP just dropped the live mouse/rat in and walked away.

if the snake was being attacked by the mouse wouldnt it bite and strike the mouse but i agree i hate live food dead food is better i wish all my animals were on nonlive
