this snow aro is not even a totaly diffrent color to a normal silver aro its just a diffrent shade which when taking pictures you chould make most silver aros look buy over exposeing the shot
anyone who spend $60,000 on a snow aro that person with more money than sence making him/her a fool
i have never said their is anything wrong with silver aros i just cant see how anyone can justify a $11k or $60k price tag for a so called snow aro when you can buy a silver for $60
its the same as a car as far as im conserned would you pay 200 x more for a green farrari just because their are not many around its still a farrari no water what color it is
you guys are just fooling yourselfs if you are trying to justfiy the price of the so called snow aro
if i had paid $60k for the other snow sold then saw one for sale for $11k i personally would feel ripped off
$2000 is the most i would ever pay for any fish anything more than that is foolish
You can get a snow by over exposing a photo?
You are nuts! It's a leucistic arowana. The phenomenon is called Leucism wiki here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leucism In general, people pay large amounts of money for any animal that is leucistic. The car thing again?
You can paint a car. You can't make a fish leucistic.
I think the problem here is that you're stuck on "how do you justify spending that much on a fish". The people who do, don't have to justify it. There doesn't have to be a return on investment, it's not the stock market. People gamble too, that's not a very responsible way to spend your money now is it? Same for the thought of the guy who spent 60k for one, and now theres one for 10k. It doesn't matter the price! It's not ebay. People aren't shopping for the lowest price on a snow aro. They want one, and they're willing to spend whatever it costs to get it.
where do you draw the line then? So you are the economist who sets the "justified, OK" amount to spend on fish? So $2k is ok? I'm sure there's people who would say you're nuts for spending $2k on a fish too. It's whatever makes you happy man!
You obviously just don't get it, so I'm going to let it die now.
