Why would you try to breed a fish that has not been bred very much before? And even more importantly , why would you choose a fish that is quite rare to breed in the first place. For example P14 rays, they are quite rare and have not been bred that much in captivity, but the people that have bred them do think that it is a great thing , and I agree. So when a fish like a color morph snow arow is sold for great amounts of money, it is due to the fact that these fish are quite rare and in there own right deseve the recogniction that get. I mean, some color morphs only come around every now and again. Just b/c they are not a fish that you might not believe is worth what they are asking is no reason to say they are worthless. It would be like me saying people who breed P14 as mundane, but I don't say that b/c I appreciate all fish of all kinds. Only those who knock fish other than what they keep are the ones that are deprived and narrowminded.

to tell the truth you never say much hear anyway i wounder why

what has breeding p14s got anything to do with a high priced snow aro unless you are trying to dig at me personaly i cant understand why you are even mentioning p14s this is an aro thread

you have your own personal space on a diffrent forum go back to it :banhim:

You think something is special and others think other things are special, why is that any different? Like I said , narrow minded people will say anything to make them selves feel correct in what everthey say. Why is breeding p14 rays special and breeding snow arows are not? answer that?

i know in comps that the light enhanments are not allowed to be used but how many comp pics do we see on the net compaired to hobbists fish were the pics are taken using nan light

in a comp then surely their is no need for the lights or the fish woulnd be in the comp in the 1st place

i personaly wouldnt buy any aro unless i have seen it 1st as i know what trickry can go on and to spend $11k-$60k on a fish you have only seen a picture of is foolish

if that was a fish i wanted and was willing to pay $11k+ i would jump on a plane to look at the fish not bid on aquabid

if you can afford the fish you can afford the plane fair

You're assuming the buyer would just buy it without seeing the fish. That's a presumption on your part.

whats the point in bidding then would you bid without taking a trip to thialand

the listing also states that if the fish was DOA the seller would replace it with the same type of fish or better how is that posable if the snow is so rare

It's rare but there is more then 1. ;) As to the seller replacing that fish, well that is quite debatable indeed.

It's really not that hard to grasp. If someone will pay $11k for it, then it is indeed worth $11k. It's fairly black and white.

as you know im into rare fish. as for price.. it all depend on the buyer and seller... check this thread... supply and demand.. and you cant compare fish-x to get the value of fish-y

Why $5000 for a fish?

as for "white" and albino arowana.... who remember the "white' jardini? but later turn back to normal?

in asia arowana farm... they enhance xbacks by placing in to white tanks... this method will make the xback more white and cross faster.... here are some pix i took while in SGP last year...

im not saying that snow silver is fake... but if i want that fish i will fly over and check it out...
