Exotic Tropical is actually run by an ex Marine who imports a lot of stuff, but keeps them private in his house hold.

His name's Anthony, and if you're looking for Tang's he's definately the guy to talk to in these parts.

Dont' know Anthony but I know Art. Art and/or his wife and younger kids are usually there. I think his price on fish are a bit high. But they are nice people. When asking him about a fish, he may call his son,.......... who may be anthony

the first time I was there I talked to the dad but dont remember his name, is that Anthony or is that his son, either way Ive dealt with both and his wife and they are all good people, until recently I still used to drive there for his imported freeze dried shrimp.

I have some of his imported fish food too.

what is the name of that store?

ocean blue is probably the best in the area.
other locations carry fairly standard stuff from what i've been able to tell

i need to pay rkc22 a visit though... :D

called fishpets or something

Sunset always has a great selection of freshwater fish available. Salt water is not to shabby but they sell out fairly quickly on their saltwater fish and corals.

Tom's gets fish that are not very common in the hobby and sells them at great prices. Usually has African aro, pimas, palmas, etc. Only problem for Tom's is that he is in the ghetto!! His shop is next to a liquor store and a few doors down is a rundown bar.

Strictly Fish is you source for rare cichlids! Strictly Fish has a wide selection of cichlids and all of their fish are extremely healthy and well taken care of. Only drawback is they are pretty expensive when compared to shops in SoCaL. There is a way to avoid these prices! Shop on Wednesday and all fish are 25% off : ) Also four times a year (including this weekend 3/28/08-3/30/08) they have a huge sale, fish 1/3 off, 20% of dry goods, plexiglass tanks at cost.

Finally the bestof the best!
All Happy has the best selection of oddballs. His prices are amazing and his selection is second to none. Only problem it is hard to reach him, which is OK cause when you do get a hold of him his selection and prices make-up for any inconveniences.

Rosemead Aquarium. It is on valley, close by rosemead ave, The owner is really nice and the price is pretty good too. Always have silver arrowana in stock and i think every now and then he gets some jardini. For his stock list I have to say that there are nothig that impressive. He like exotic stuff himself but told me it is hard to make money in selling the more exotic fish because most of people in his area would rather just put blood parrot in their tanks..(feng suei kind of shxt) So like what i said, nothing really impressive but worth a visit.
