I'm on my second. My first Aro disappeared
Probably was sick and eventually eaten up by all the other fish that were in the tank.

my first one lived almost 4 years and was almost 30" long and died because of my mom wanting to paint the wall behind the tank, n did a dramatic water drainage to move the tank. left the 30" aro sitting in less then 6" of water in a 150gal tank. refilled it with tap water n it died that night. i wasn't even home cuz if i was i woulda atleast put her in a 50gal bin or something til the wall was done being painted.
i was to sad to own another aro right after that so i didnt buy another for over a year. finally got another one n for some weird reason n i still don't even know why, it died within a week for no reason. water was perfect, no tank mates to bug him, he jus died
after that i thought i'd never own another silver, did turtle land, cichlids, pacu's, oscars for almost 3 years, then my 3 year old lil brother threw a cookie in the tank when i was at work, 8 hour shift n a cookie sittin at the bottom of a tank = all fish inside dead...
drained the tank, refilled, circulated, bought new filters n 2 weeks later i bought another silver arowana at about 5 inches. not even 6 months later n he's almost 14" n still livin strong. don't feed feeders much because i love his look. dried krill is all he gets. he wont eat **** else...
few weeks later i found a silver on craigslist from guy who couldn't take care of it anymore. so i bought it at 16" or so. now he's almost 22" or so n livin it up..
sorry for the story. thats jus my aro timeline.
