WOW! Slight case of 'roid rage going on there!

What's with the attitude problem?
You asked about keeping Channa Gachua (which by the way is a species complex, not a single species) with Polypterus, I answered you?

You come across as very snappy and like to pull up people that YOU believe are doing something wrong (not using substrate) when you have very little knowledge of keeping Polypterus yourself.

You know my advice is from experience. Not just hot air. I have kept many Channa tanks, and bred some of those. I also own 6 tanks of Bichirs, at one point owning the complete collection of Polypterus almost twice.

I reckon that warrants me being able to offer sound advice on the subject.
My advice doesn't cost anything, so you don't like it ignore it.
Just get your head out of your ass and stop being so arrogant! :screwy:

bla bla bla

Is this guy in the new tank you weren't going to cycle?
As said his eyes do look a bit puffed up,keep an eye on them, and try not to snap at someone who's offering advice,it makes you look like jerk.

The tank has perfect quality and his eyes are ok. He is a very active little guy. It was interesting to see him swim around and search for food, after i did shut off the light. He also goes very good at food. I did deliver him some worms, not too much because i did not want disturb him too much at his 1st day. I just hope, that my plants come in the next couple of days.

And about the channas, i really doubt any animal kills for fun. No animal can afford to waste energy and risk wounds. Channa may kill for food or because they think their teritory is attacked.

And i´m not "snapping" at anyone. Its just that i did several times ask, what i can do into the tank. I got no answer but at evry thing i plan i get "no that does not work..." Its kind of tireing to go through evry single species of fish. It would be alot more effective to just get said what would work and what not. And being direct is also not arrogant.

Ok everybody lets just all take a :chillpill:

This section is suppose to be for all of us to make friends because of something we have in common, we love Polypterus.
Not a place for us to make enemies.

What the hell is wrong with you?

look back through this thread I have been answering your questions. You then take offence to it?

look:

you:
"He is like 20cm long and the senegals like 10-15cm. What you think, can i put them together in one tank?"

me:
"For now should be OK, but remember Ornates get a lot bigger, very quickly.
They are well known to be quite aggressive, and have been known to try eat large Senegals..."

you:
But what tank mates can you advise? Snakeheads for example?

do you think i can put a pair of Channa gachua into the tank?

me:
"Channa and Polypterus are the 2 fish that I dedicate all my time to.

I would never mix the 2.
Channa are definitely always best kept in species only tanks."

you:
"don´t tell me what not to do. I asked several times what goes and i never get an answer."

What the hell is up with that I was friendly giving you advice FFS!

^ gotta agree with TGM on this one.

Maybe he doesn't like your avatar

maybe we have a "lost in translation" problem here...

I would like to know, what fish i can permanent bring together with him.

And i´m not rude. I just say what i think. Telling me what not goes doesn´t help me with my decission, when i have no alternative then.

And that can be rude!

I don't wish to turn this thread into an argument. You can gain a LOT by the advice offered to you by people here on this forum.

I did answer specific questions, but if it helps I keep one tank full of Bichirs with Arowana, another tank of Bichirs with Gar, another with Datnoids.

There is a few potential tankmates for you.

not to forget other bichirs :)

trying to ease the tension here :D
