So I have this new aquarium.....I bought it off CraigsList and the guy said it was 120 gallons, and of course I believed him since it was 6 foot. When I did the measurements and everything, it only turned up to be 85 gallons. I was wondering if a BGK and 2 Oscars, and possibly a school of clown loaches and silver dollars would be fine in the aquarium?

The dimensions are 72x12x21.

Here are some photos so you can see how much room it has.

It is next to my 2 14 gallons for a comparison.

Thanks!

I am by no means an expert on any of those fish, but I would think that the clown loaches would get too big. Should be fine for the oscars though.

It would be okay for the Oscars, the BGK might get a little too big, school or Clownloaches/Silver Dollars is just too large and you would need a much bigger tank.

I didn't do the calculations, but it looks much bigger than 85 gal??? congrats on the new tank!!

Yes, I thought it was much bigger as well...I guess its just a little thinner than a 120

clown loaches would take years to outgrow that tank as well as the bgk both are very slow growers the knife maybe a little faster growing but seeing how its a 12" wide tank the os could be in awhile as adults they can reach 14" and might be tough for them to turn in it but go for it:headbang2

So he says the tank has a 12" depth and you say he can keep the O's but he needs to nix the clown loaches. I think my head just exploaded...
