heres my 55gal (dirty water is due to me soaking my driftwood and washing my sand)

im still soaking the driftwood so i dont know exactly how long it will take for the yellow to get out of it. hopefully not that long. anyways ill keep updating as i go on. THANKS!

suggestions and comments welcome

nice dude! i really love the driftwood! can't w8 till i upgrade my 29 gals. to 75 gals or maybe even bigger... where'd u get the driftwood? i would to buy a couple of driftwood like yours!

i went to like 5 different stores to find mines. it was kinda funny cause i took driftwood and sat there at the store puzzling them together and this is what i came up with. if you live in socal the cheapest driftwood i found was in monrovia. the store is called monrovia tropical fish. small is like 7bucks medium is 13 and large is 26 i think.

It would be better if you boil or wash your driftwood with boiling water to quickly remove tannins that colors your water yellow...

I love the layout of the driftwood. It'll look swell. If your driftwood is too large to boil just put it in a tub and cover it in boiling water. Waterchange everyday and replace water with more boiling water. Your driftwood will never float again and your tannin problem will be very minute!

thanks. well the wood itself is heavy. when i 1st submersed it into the tank it didnt float. so i dont have a floating problem. just the tanning. i let it sit for 3 days and the water barely turned yellow. so im going to get it sit for another 3 days and ill see how it turns out.
